ABOUT ADITYA PARIKH

With a strong passion for medicine, science, and music, I’ve cultivated a unique blend of skills that allow me to approach healthcare from a holistic and innovative perspective. My experiences range from hands-on research in Dr. Sundar\'s lab, where I gained expertise in techniques like Western blot, gel electrophoresis, and PCR/qPCR, to leading impactful initiatives that combine music and memory care. Through performing with Melodies for Memory, I’ve deepened my commitment to patient-centered care, finding joy in connecting with individuals, including those with Alzheimer\'s, through music. I’m also a dedicated student, balancing rigorous academics with leadership in extracurriculars such as HOSA and DECA, and excelling in research projects like my paper on how classical music affects heart rates. My journey to medicine is driven by a desire to blend my scientific skills with my passion for helping others, supported by a strong work ethic, resilience in the face of challenges, and a love for interdisciplinary problem-solving. As I continue to explore healthcare, I am committed to leveraging my diverse experiences and dedication to both the sciences and the humanities in my pursuit of a medical career.
