ABOUT ADDISON AMADI
I am a Junior at UNC Charlotte studying Computer Science with a Math minor. I\'m really into machine learning and data science, and a lot of what I know came from building my own projects outside of class just because I wanted to understand how things work.I\'ve built models for things like predicting NBA player performance and detecting AI generated media, both of which taught me a ton about the full process of taking a project from an idea to something that actually works well. On the research side I work with real operational data using mathematical optimization methods to solve problems that don\'t have a clean answer, which is honestly my favorite kind of problem.Outside of the technical stuff I\'m involved in organizations on campus centered around tech and representation in STEM, which means a lot to me personally.Always down to connect with people who are into the same things.
