ABOUT ADAM WETTON
2025/26 Applied Sport Science and Coaching Placement Intern at Team Bath | BSc Sport and Exercise Science student at Loughborough University. As a dedicated and enthusiastic Sport and Exercise Science student, I\'m always looking for the next opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in sport physiology, nutrition, biomechanics, strength and conditioning, and coaching. I have thoroughly enjoyed my first two years focusing on these areas at Loughborough University and am currently taking great pleasure in applying my learnings, with hands-on laboratory and field experience at Team Bath. My role is primarily focussed around athletics, a sport that, as a competitive middle distance athlete, I am forever invested in. I hope that my passion will aid in providing great service to Team Bath and future career positions.Outside of university, I have used my coaching assistant qualification to improve my confidence in leadership and communication, through coaching athletics fundamentals to young athletes. This is something I am continuing to develop via Team Bath\'s \"Futures\" initiative, taking talented youngsters through more complex strength and conditioning and speed development programmes, aiming to further their sporting successes and develop my understanding of complex coaching environments further.Beyond the sporting world, I have developed great interpersonal skills, as well as adaptability and reliability in retail and hospitality industries. These fast paced, customer facing roles have required me the ability to manage time, priorities and expectations, whilst remaining presentable and polite. These are all skills that I hope to apply to my career in the world of sport science, working with all levels of athlete and members of my IDT.
