ABOUT ADAM SAMBRIDGE

Platform engineer with deep experience designing and operating cloud-native platforms, high-performance systems, and reliable delivery paths at scale.My focus is on building internal platform capabilities that improve developer experience without compromising operational standards. I’m particularly interested in platform APIs, composable abstractions, GitOps, Kubernetes, Crossplane, observability, and the use of strong defaults and guardrails to reduce cognitive load and change risk.A core part of my thinking is solving the manifest problem: hiding unnecessary infrastructure complexity behind simple, consistent, self-service interfaces so engineers can focus on shipping rather than hand-wiring deployments, environments, and platform concerns every time.Alongside the technical work, I’ve mentored and developed engineers across multiple levels, helped teams navigate complex operational challenges, and consistently pushed for approaches that scale through enablement rather than dependency.My aim is to build platforms that are opinionated where it matters, flexible where it counts, and always designed to help teams move faster with confidence.
