I bring over 15 years of experience supporting children, families, and communities through both everyday challenges and large-scale disasters. My career began in early childhood education — working in preschools, after-school programs, and in-home care — before I pivoted to disaster preparedness and recovery after volunteering in Sri Lanka following the 2004 tsunami.Since 2009, I’ve served with the American Red Cross and partner agencies, responding to hundreds of local home fires, major U.S. disasters (Hurricanes Matthew & Harvey, California wildfires), and leading preparedness initiatives for families.
