ABOUT ABI HOWELLS
Associate Director in AECOM’s Advisory team helping a range of public and private sector clients to pinpoint their challenges and optimise delivery while prioritising human experience. Reaching into AECOMs global expertise, I create solutions and guide clients to address their challenges, ensuring a cost-effective outcome. Previously at the Environment Agency where I designed and implemented a TOM, supporting maturity model and capacity and capability standards to mitigate against the reality of poor early engagement creating delay and increased cost to projects and programmes of work in the Environment Agency’s £5.2bn Flood and Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) investment portfolio. A key leader in the Portfolio, Programme and Project Office (P3O) I worked collaboratively with contractors to embed collaborative behaviour, gather insight, co-design best practice and disseminate through internal networks demonstrating continuous improvement and compliance with the FCRM Asset Management System (AMS) and ISO55001 certification.I value curiosity, and love to coach - challenging preconceived ideas, enabling people to slow down and reflect to feel and perform better. I mentor on the Moving Ahead 30% club Gender and Mission Include programmes.
