ABOUT AANANYA SAINI

Hello! I am Aananya. I am pursuing a Bachelor\'s in Information Science & Technology with a Certificate in Cybersecurity from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, graduating in May 2025. I have a solid foundation in programming languages like Python, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and SQL. My coursework has covered key areas like Object-Oriented Programming, Ethical Hacking, System Analysis, Web Design, Information Security, Project Teams Leadership and Communication, Database Information Retrieval Systems, and Web Application Development. In my most recent role as a Security Engineer Intern at Johnson Controls, I contributed to the protection of the company’s infrastructure by using security tools like SIEM and endpoint security. I have also contributed to impactful projects that enhanced the organization’s security posture and data protection efforts. I was also recognized as a semi-finalist in the Johnson Controls Future Leaders Internship Program Innovation Challenge. Alongside my internship at Johnson Controls, I’m currently enrolled in nonprof-IT at UWM where I am working with the Midwest Cyber Security Alliance (MCSA). I am leading a team in developing a new feature for their website to connect cybersecurity professionals with students. As team lead, I ensure project timelines are met, communicate regularly with stakeholders, and foster collaboration within the team. I also serve as the Business Manager for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Housing. I plan and host events for the student body, collaborate on housing improvements, and manage financial transactions and budgets with precision. This role has strengthened my project management and leadership skills. I pride myself on my work ethic and adaptability, always eager to take on new challenges and continuously seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge. My leadership abilities have enabled me to guide teams, manage projects, and drive results effectively. Whether working independently or in collaboration with others, I am known for my flexibility, problem-solving skills, and dedication to achieving excellence. In my free time, I enjoy reading mystery and thriller novels, painting, drawing, and creating my own jewelry. Let’s connect!
