The Ford Global Center of Excellence for Wheel Engineering is a specialized global division responsible for validating all wheel designs created by Ford Studio. Leveraging advanced Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) methodologies, the division ensures that every wheel design meets Ford\'s stringent quality, reliability, durability, and safety standards. It provides crucial engineering insights and validations from initial concept prototyping through to manufacturability assessments, consistently upholding industry-leading performance and compliance across all Ford global vehicle programs- CAE Validation of Wheel Designs: Responsible for the CAE validation of 50% of all current and future wheel designs at Ford Motor Company, including Radial Load, Cornering Load, and Impact Analysis. These simulations ensure structural integrity and performance reliability throughout the entire development cycle- AI-Driven Optimization of CAE Workflows: Leading the research and development of machine learning-based tools to streamline and enhance the wheel validation process. Current initiatives include generative AI for automated design exploration and predictive ML models for stress contour estimation in early-phase prototypes- Scientific R&D for Novel CAE–ML Methods: Driving scientific innovation through the integration of advanced mathematical and physical modeling techniques with CAE and machine learning. This work establishes methodological rigor and reinforces Ford’s global leadership in adapting simulation processes to meet the evolving demands of the automotive industry.
