There is power in simplicity. A timeline can tell you more about a person than an autobiography. September 10, 1991: I am born in San Diego. My father is from India. He came to America on Singapore Airlines. My mother is from Michigan. Her ancestors came to America on the Mayflower. September 3, 1997: I start kindergarten. I tell my mom I met a kid named Ari who calls me:\"dude.\" He remains my best friend to this day. August 24, 2003: I spend the summer completing my first full length novel:\'The Battles of Kohesia.\' It is a science-fiction wartime epic. It is terrible. I have no future in writing. October 10, 2009: I tour the University of Southern California\'s School of Cinematic Arts. It is incredible. I enroll in the Marshall School of Business. I have no future in film. July, 2011: I visit my freshman roommate, Alexander Ludwig, in North Carolina. He\'s a lead in \'The Hunger Games.\' I study as Gary Ross directs. I gape as Stanley Tucci improvises. I get a taste of Hollywood. May 16, 2014: I graduate college. I have done coverage on A-list writers at Lionsgate. I have taken a dozen screenwriting classes. I am told I know \'the right people.\' I have a future in Hollywood. October 7, 2017: I take my first PA job on a WeWork commercial. I have now studied acting, improv, sketch and more screenwriting. I realize Hollywood is a vast landscape. I have no idea where I belong. March 28, 2018: My first music video. I meet singer-songwriter Khalid atop a mountain. It is a magical moment. I am instructed to carry heavy equipment up another mountain. I am a PA. I am the bottom of the totem pole. It is not a magical moment. July 1, 2019: I produce my first big budget commercial. In just over a year, I have worked on Netflix and Marvel sets. I have worked my way to the top of a totem pole. I have a knack for production. November 25, 2019: I complete the second of two FB Watch series as showrunner. I partner with my friend Ryan Turner. Turns out we work pretty well together. January 2020: Ryan and I start Echobend. There is a global pandemic. Ryan and I pause Echobend. January 14, 2021: Echobend does its first official job. Ari is our first official client. November 1, 2021: Echobend starts production on its 1st feature. September 1, 2022: Echobend releases Nicki Minaj\'s \"Super Freaky Girl.\" It\'s the #1 trending video in the world. My old roommate Alexander Ludwig is the lead. The press asks how he ended up in the video. He tells our story. To paraphrase Tolkien:\"The greatest adventure is what lies ahead.\" I sense he was on to something.
