ABOUT ZUBAIR ANSARI
Zubair Ansari serves as Executive Director of the Cancer Support Community in Washington, D.C. where he and his team are embarking on developing a Cancer Support Community center in D.C. offering free support program services to anyone impacted by cancer in the region. Previously, he has held senior leadership roles at Johns Hopkins Medicine, Kaiser Permanente (KP), and most recently, Luminis Health. At Luminis Health, he was the revenue cycle executive champion for the Epic implementation as well as professional billing services lead for the system corporate compliance committee, where Zubair grew net-new verticals to exceed patient outcomes. Zubair led the patient financial services division at Johns Hopkins Medicine International (JHI) headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland. At JHI, Zubair helped re-design the access, patient accounts and quality assurance space of the revenue cycle. With affiliates across multiple continents, he sustained JHI\'s strategic partnerships with foreign payer groups and embassies. Zubair was a Financial Consultant and the Head of Business Advisory for King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSHRC) based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He has more than twenty years of hospital operations, not for profit, performance improvement, and strategic healthcare leadership experience. His extensive health care portfolio includes leadership roles in some of the nation\'s top hospitals based on U.S News and World Report rankings. Zubair has presented extensively on topics of consumer-driven health care and how to improve revenue cycle with sustainable outcomes for health care markets throughout the United States, Canada, Africa, and the Middle East. Zubair is founder of MEHFEx (Middle East Health Care Finance Executive Forum) and serves on the boards of the United States Revenue Cycle Improvement Task Force (RCI) and Healthcare Finance Institute (HFI). Zubair is a trained six sigma black belt and completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology at Augustana College and his Master of Science in Healthcare Administration at the University of St. Francis - both in Illinois.
