ABOUT ZSUZSA PAPP

As Senior Advisor, Business Development at Mitacs, I connect academia and industry and enable collaborative projects for the benefit of companies, professors, students, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows with the ultimate goal of supporting innovation in Canada. Prior to joining Mitacs, I supported ecosystem conservation causes as a project manager at had conducted research and extensively published (20) in the fields of eco-toxicology, epidemiology and risk-factors of infectious diseases, developed expertise in statistics and had earned a PhD in Veterinary Microbiology (viral immunology) from the University of Saskatchewan and a Biology/Biotechnology degree from Hungary. Besides being committed to lifelong learning in sciences, my personal interests include habitat/wildlife conservation, arts and culture, science education, gardening, languages, sports and a variety of outdoor activities. I have also served as board member, manager, coordinator, liaison and mentor in various roles at not-for-profit organizations and at Saskatoon public schools. Currently serving on USask Senate and University Council.
