Zamir is a Senior Analyst at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), an independent federal agency that provides Congress and the public with timely, non-partisan, and fact-based information to improve government and save taxpayers billions of dollars. He holds an M.A. in International Development, with a focus on Developmental Economics, from The George Washington University, where he also earned his B.A. in International Affairs, with a focus on Sustainability.At GAO, Zamir focuses on the federal government\'s financial market and community investment programs, analyzing their status, efficacy, and impacts. He has contributed to multiple reports on topics such as pandemic spending, space technology, consumer protection, international development, and physical infrastructure, among others. He has also demonstrated his communication and data skills by leading the quality assurance of Spanish translations for GAO products and completing a certification as an R data analyst.
