Zoe Wu is a Director in PwC US Tax LLP’s New York tax practice. She concentrates her practice in State and Local Tax (SALT), with particular focus on New York State and New York City business tax controversy matters, including corporation income tax, unincorporated business tax, pass-through entity tax, and commercial rent tax. Zoe specializes in SALT controversy resolution and multistate SALT consultation. She also has experience with SALT provision/compliance review and reverse income tax audits. Zoe serves clients across a broad range of industries, with an emphasis on the asset and wealth management sector (including broker-dealers, investment advisers, hedge funds, venture capital, and private equity), as well as banking, real estate, technology, media, news, manufacturing, and other sectors. Prior to joining PwC, Zoe worked for the New York City Department of Finance, where she gained audit experience in the General Corporation Tax, Unincorporated Business Tax, Commercial Rent Tax, and Voluntary Disclosure matters. Zoe graduated summa cum laude from Baruch College with a BBA in Investment Finance and earned two master’s degrees in Taxation and Accountancy. She is a New York State licensed Certified Public Accountant.
