ABOUT ZOE THORNTON

I work in data and analytics, currently in online gambling, where most of my time goes on understanding why slot games perform the way they do and what improvements can be made for future game development. The work I\'m most pleased with tends to be the stuff that moves something: performance models I\'ve built that ended up being adopted across the business and, earlier in my career, more widely across the industry, and getting deep enough into P&L budgets to find millions in savings that were hiding in plain sight through insight. A lot of it comes down to spotting where a product could be doing better and making the case clearly enough that people act on it. What I care about most is using data to land on the right call, not just for the business but for the customer too.
