About Zoe Pierce

As a multiplatform editor at The Washington Post, I share my passion and enthusiasm for journalism through editing and promoting opinion pieces in various platforms. I collaborate with columnists and editors to ensure clarity, accuracy and creativity in conveying our perspectives to the readers. I also leverage my social media and audience skills to enhance the reach and impact of our content, using engaging headlines, visuals and strategies.My journalism and media skills were honed and developed at the University of Maryland, where I graduated with a degree in multiplatform journalism and cinema and media studies in 2022. I also served as the editor in chief of The Diamondback, the independent student newspaper, where I led a team of reporters, editors and designers to produce high-quality and diverse stories for the campus and community. This experience prepared me for the fast-paced and high-pressure environment of The Washington Post, where I have learned from and contributed to a talented and diverse team of journalists. My goal is to continue to grow and excel as a multiplatform editor, and to use my skills and values to inform, inspire and challenge the public.
