As the Education Program Manager, I work to create and articulate a detailed vision for adult education programs and projects consistent with KCD’s mission, vision, and goals. I apply problem-solving and innovation to develop unique approaches to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of KCD conservation education programming. Our team works collaboratively with other KCD teams to support the application of educational concepts and approaches to diverse, non-technical audiences. I work with internal strategy area teams (Community Agriculture, Farm, Forestry, and Riparian) to integrate education programming as a core tool for achieving KCD goals in each strategy area. I am currently serving a two year term as co-chair of the Racial Equity Change Team, working to expand District support and opportunities for historically underserved and marginalized populations.
