About Zoe Monosson
I am an intellectual, empathic, curious problem solver with a deep need to create positive impact in the world. I am a Product Designer with a knack for simplifying complex systems. I am a big picture thinker with an eye for detail.Everything in life that I gravitate towards: ceramics, furniture design, knitting, UX- are about creating things that both hold purpose and are elegant. I studied Mechanical Engineering at Tufts University for 2 years and found that I did not want to design “screws, threads, and gear belts,” but instead I wanted to think about the person using those tools. I graduated with a degree in Human Factors Engineering and supplemented my degree with studying architecture and furniture design in Copenhagen, Denmark. I have a proven track record of ramping up quickly, wearing multiple hats, and being adaptable and flexible. Fresh out of college, I was the first design hire and UX trailblazer at Cambridge Semantics, embracing the unknown and carving my own path as the lead designer. In this role, I was a self-starter, creating my own tasks that I identified as ways to improve the product’s usability. I prioritized collaborating across the business to instill the value of design and create a more cohesive community at our growing startup.
