About Zoe Marans

After almost 15 years of leading client services teams and business operations at influencer marketing companies, I\'ve transitioned my career to a long-time passion of mine: landscape design. I\'m actively enrolled in (and loving) the post-grad landscape architecture program at UCLA, with the intent to earn my license in landscape architecture in a few short years. I began working with Tyler Banken Designs in tandem with the UCLA program in 2023 in order to gain valuable work experience, and have since been balancing work and school for the last 2 years, with one more year of school on the horizon. It\'s been a rewarding journey to get back into a higher education setting where I\'m learning every day and pushing myself to extract the dormant creativity within me. My past work experience has been a huge asset in this pursuit, where I\'ve been able to apply my adaptability, nimbleness, and ambition to quickly learn the ins and outs of a new industry, gain proficiency in drafting & 3D rendering software, and prove my value to contractors and clients. I look forward to continuing to leverage my communication, leadership, and problem solving skills in my future landscape architecture career to bring tangible impact to firms, communities, and the environment. My professional landscape design experience has focused primarily on residential design, ranging in scope from single family residential backyards to acres of landscape at luxury properties, all delivered with the same level of detail, passion, and creativity. I\'ve been fortunate to experience designing a range of outdoor living elements, from multilevel pool spas and entertainer outdoor kitchens, to expansive CA native gardens with stormwater infrastructure, to penthouse terraces with bespoke furniture. I plan to continue honing these skills in tandem with my academic work, so that I can bring my multi-faceted experience, drive for excellence, and passionate personality to every project I\'m a part of.I love connecting with folks from all types of industries to discuss landscape architecture, sustainable design, CA native plants, and environmental justice, so please don\'t hesitate to reach out!

As a Member of the PEN, I provide advice and guidance to the founders and operators within the Primary portfolio. Primary VC is a firm backing NYCs most promising founders.
