About Zoe Logan

As the child of architects I grew up in an environment filled with the tools and language of design. Solving problems creatively gives me my power, energy and joy. Being able to work with my hands while learning about design and production methods is an essential part of what makes my work satisfying. I believe that there should be a balance of computer aided design and physical fabrication to create truly effective creations. My work at ITP has combined art with engineering, electronics and user-centered design. 3D printing married the dual passions of using cutting-edge technology with the satisfaction of engineering physical products that serve as both illustrative and aesthetic representations of design. I continue to look into other industries such as industrial design, engineering, fine art, jewelry and performance for opportunities to use and hone my craft. I am especially interested in crossing streams and bringing the power of design to under-served areas that can benefit from it. Other interests include baking and pastry (which is startlingly similar in practice to architectural model making as it turns out), carpentry, costume, bicycling, roller derby, drawing and Muay Thai.
