ABOUT ZOE LABOS

I’m a UX/UI Designer based in Austin, TX with a background in graphic design, social media management, and special education.‍ My background in special education fueled my passion for empathizing with users and creating inclusive designs. My goal as a designer is to help companies make a positive impact in the world by advocating for accessibility throughout the design process and crafting inclusive user experiences. A few skills that I bring to the table include- UX Design: Every project should start with empathizing with users and understanding their needs. I incorporate UX research and a mix of design artifacts to create accessible, user-friendly products- UI Design: Creating clean, consistent, accessible prototypes in Figma is my specialty- Visual Design: Using my knowledge of typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy, I create aesthetically pleasing, on-brand designs- Copywriting: I have a strong grasp of grammar rules and a knack for writing clear, creative copy that engages users- Presentation: Through storytelling and visual design, I present and communicate information thoughtfully and effectively. I have received various recognitions and awards as a result of my commitment to exceptional performance- Three-time Rockstar Award Winner at GoDaddy, Q3 & Q4 2021 & Q3 2022: I won these awards for being the top performer on my team for each quarter. The performance metrics were based on quality assurance scores that measured the quality of my copywriting, designs, and creativity- Wayfinder Award at GoDaddy, February 2023: I won this award as a result of maintaining above-average performance standards over three years. When I’m not designing pixel-perfect prototypes in Figma or on the hunt for the perfect font, you’ll find me cooking, crafting with my Cricut, or running at Lady Bird Lake!
