Hi there! I\'m Zara, a proud Puerto Rican from the Bronx, NY, studying Advertising and Journalism at Boston University College of Communication (BU COM). Writing has played an impactful role in my life, beginning with a childhood dream of becoming an author and soon evolving into a passion to hear the stories of underrepresented individuals worldwide. I\'ve taken an interest in exploring my creativity through visual storytelling to highlight the joys and troubles that communities have or continue to experience. At the same time, I\'m also interested in understanding audience engagement and insights to bring new opportunities that connect with people on a deeper level.With the support of my peers and mentors, I hope to share these stories and create ideas that bring long-lasting impact.

   Boston University Howard Thurman Center

   Produce and manage social media content to promote the ideals of Howard Thurman’s love and community ethics tied to the center’s events. Brainstorm original concepts and promotional materials, such as conducting interviews for the annual TEDx event, while actively monitoring current trends through collaboration with team members. Photograph events, such as HTC’s weekly programs and student organization events, throughout the academic year and share them through Instagram to recap. Nominated for the Student Employee of the Year award in 2025 based on exceptional support to the team and the Boston University community.
