The InterService Communication team at LinkedIn owns all aspects of service-to-service communication at LinkedIn - service discovery, load balancing, adaptive load shedding, the request and response framework, and more! We are currently building out a next generation Service Discovery framework to replace D2 (https://linkedin.github.io/rest.li/Dynamic_Discovery), fixing the scalability and resiliency problems in D2 and allowing us to safely hyperscale our capacity. What\'s more, we\'ll be building it so that it\'s natively compatible with a Service Mesh, providing easy service discovery for apps written in any programming language.
