About Zion Strasser
I was at a loss. How could I ever help people, solve problems, be creative—and get paid—all at the same time? I’ve always loved writing stories: unfortunately, it’s not an easy thing to make money with. I tried teaching: I loved it, but there’s little creativity or problem solving. I looked into marketing, but I didn’t feel like I would be really be helping people. Then I stumbled upon User Interface and User Experience and realized that, in so many ways, I had already been practicing its basic tenets for years. Teaching and writing taught me empathy, analysis, problem solving, and even helped me develop an eye for design through writing and formatting documents. Now I’m spending hundreds of hours at Springboard to learn the skills I need to flourish as a designer: User Research, Prototyping, Wireframing, UI design, and much more. I can’t wait to work somewhere I can create beautiful, easy-to-use designs that effectively meet user needs as well as business needs. I’d love to connect!
