ABOUT ZIMING ZHONG

This is ZZ! A cross-disciplinary sports and media professional with a background in visual design, international communication, and sports management. Passionate about basketball and sport as a global cultural language, I bring together creative storytelling and strategic thinking to inspire and engage diverse audiences.At UC Davis, I founded the Chinese Basketball Club, leading both team management and media promotion while guiding the team to multiple intramural titles. After graduation, I spent a year at the California College of the Arts, where I sharpened my visual storytelling and digital media skills and explored how art, technology, and sport intersect. This transformative experience became the catalyst for my transition into Sport Management at Loughborough University.During the 2022–23 NBA season, I worked with the Sacramento Kings in partnership with Kuaishou, producing culturally resonant short-form content that grew a new account to followers in one season. More recently, as Media & Communications Coordinator at the Chinese Handball Association, I developed bilingual campaigns and collaborated with professional clubs and local governments to promote youth development.Now at Loughborough, I am eager to build a career in international sports media, branding, and club communications—bridging China and global audiences through design-driven strategy, cross-cultural storytelling, and an unstoppable passion for sport.
