About Zikri Bayraktar
I am a senior AI research scientist and digital technologies lead at Schlumberger Doll Research Center (SDR) with a focus on digital and machine learning applications currently focusing on wireline automation. I also served as founding member of several new research departments from automated geology to carbon capture technology development. In addition to developing ML algorithms, I develop digital technology strategies and help other scientists on deep/machine learning to develop engineering solutions at various scales.I am a Senior Member of member of and BGS business honor societies and served as a Distinguished Speaker of SPWLA. I am PMI CAPM certified and AWS certified cloud practitioner.Prior to SDR, I worked as a computational scientist/advisory engineer at IBM Semiconductor Research and Development Center in NY focusing on the advanced computational lithography for Optical Proximity Correction (OPC) in development of IBM server microchips. I received my BSc (honors), MSc, PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University along with a PhD minor in Computational Science. Most recently, I received MSc in Management degree from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. My research focus at Penn State was on applied numerical EM combined with meta-heuristic and evolutionary optimization algorithms like Genetic Algorithms, Particle Swarm Optimization, Covariance Matrix Evolution Strategy, etc. I invented and published the Wind Driven Optimization algorithm, Adaptive Wind Driven Optimization algorithm, and Multi-objective Adaptive Wind Driven Optimization algorithm.
