Founder & Operations Manager – 3PL-Direct LtdAbout the Role:I lead the end-to-end operations of 3PL-Direct Ltd — a flexible third-party logistics provider supporting businesses across the UK with warehousing, fulfilment, and transport Responsibilities:• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including goods in/out, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch• Manage customer relationships and provide tailored logistics solutions to suit client requirements• Implement stock control procedures and inventory accuracy systems using WMS• Lead labour planning, recruitment, training, and performance management• Supervise value-added services such as labelling, rework, kitting, and light assembly• Develop operational SOPs, H&S practices, and risk assessments in line with UK regulations• Arrange B2B transport services and optimise delivery planning• Prepare service reports and cost analysis for customers and internal reviews• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and 5S Achievements:• Successfully launched and scaled 3PL-Direct Ltd to provide warehousing and courier services within months of founding, building strong working relationships with start-ups and established clients.• Led a complex warehouse transition project for a shopfitting company, involving large-scale, non-standard goods, tight deadlines, and dynamic fit-out schedules. Developed a bespoke process to handle oversized items through creative pallet reconfiguration, enabling safe and efficient handling, storage, and dispatch.• Introduced a KPI tracking and activity-based costing model to monitor picking/packing time, improve forecasting, and provide transparent reporting to focus | Hands-on leadership | Flexibility | Problem-solving | Continuous improvement
