ABOUT ZIGGY LUBKOWSKI
I am the seismic expert and global geo-seismic skills leader at Arup. My work focuses on advising our clients on the resilience of their assets within the built environment. I have over 30 years\' experience carrying out seismic design, analysis and assessment for the energy, infrastructure, manufacturing and humanitarian sectors across the world. I have contributed to R&D projects, including code development, non-linear soil-structure interaction analysis, tsunami studies and regional seismic hazard studies. I have contributed to earthquake field missions to USA, Türkiye, Indonesia and Chile. I am currently heavily involved in Eurocode 8 development and teaching and sit on the PIANC committee for seismic design of ports. My efforts in earthquake engineering were recognised when In 2010 I was presented with the Shamsher Prakash prize for excellence in practice of geotechnical earthquake engineering. In 2018 I became a RAEng Visiting Professor in Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering at UCL. Specialties: Earthquake engineering, geotechnical engineering
