About Zhixu Yang
Dr. Zhixu (Rick) Yang is an Assistant Professor in Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology Baruch College, City University of New York (CUNY). He earned his Ph.D. degree in I-O Psychology from Purdue University.Rick’s research broadly focuses on how people experience and navigate conflict at different levels (e.g, competing goals, divergent perspectives, marginalized identities) and how these processes shape individual and organizational well-being.His research draws from multiple disciplines (e.g, social, cognitive, and cultural psychology and organizational behavior) and uses a wide range of methods (e.g, psychometric assessments, longitudinal studies, multilevel modeling, experimental designs, and qualitative approaches). Rick is currently teaching Applied Statistical Analysis at the graduate level and Research Methods in Psychology at the undergraduate level. He has also taught Introduction to I-O Psychology at the undergraduate level. He is also passionate about mentoring graduate and undergraduate students and serving communities.
