Experience
R & d Metallurgist
Dec 2021 — Present · US
As a corporate R&D metallurgist, my primary focus is on supporting internal and across strategic-business-group technological developments aimed at driving the energy transition.Contribute to several multi-million USD projects involving MOC (materials of construction) specification, reliability testing, corrosion studies, and materials characterization per ASTM, ASME, and API codes to ensure the mechanical integrity of the parts/equipment while driving down Capex. Supported projects include structured catalyst development for SMR units, biomass process, SAF, units with high-pressure hydrogen, refrigerant transport, and petrochemical processes, etc. Lead a metallurgy team to provide tech service for Honeywell customers globally from the U.S, Saudi Arabia, China, and India, etc. by coordinating internal functional teams and external labs to provide failure analysis on the failed parts from the petrochemical process, e.g, FCC, Oleflex C3, heat exchanger, etc. By leveraging advanced characterization and metallurgical analysis, I led the team to identify the root cause of failure and present comprehensive reports to customers, addressing inquiries, and providing actionable recommendations.Act with an innovative mindset and thrive on adaptability, having been recognized as a finalist in Honeywell UOP’s innovation challenges.
