About Yiwen Zhang

As a master student at both Columbia University and Tsinghua University majoring in Operations Research and Business Analytics, I\'m a fast learner and an active practitioners in the area of data- With 2.5+ years data science internship experience at Amazon, Tiktok, Apple, Didi and Deloitte, I got hands on experience in building machine learning models, predictive analysis, A/B Test, customer segments and so on- Thanks to my data-related internships, I gained a thorough understanding of the impact of data and how could an organization maximize utilize it power to make decisions.In Deloitte, I initially understood the data requirements from party A\'s companies and their confusion about how to utilize the data they got, and had a first taste of data analysis and visualization starting from designing data indicators.In the data team of didi, I used SQL to generate weekly and monthly reports of data, analyze outliers, responded to the needs of other teams and carry out special analysis, which fully increased my familiarity of data analysis.In the last two years, I had greatly developed my awareness of active communication and cooperation.At Apple, without the guidance of mentor, as the only data analyst in the team, I introduced statistical methods such as A/B Test and machine learning methods such as linear regression decision tree into the sales team for the first time.Compared with previous colleagues, based on experience, I drew more scientific and rigorous conclusions and improved the sales indicators.At Tiktok, part of my responsibility was to communicate with the operation team to define and correct data indicators according to business.At Amazon, I dived deeper to data technology and built transit time pad simulators for emerging countries.
