About Zach Gallagher
Licensed Professional Engineer and LEED Accredited Professional holding BS and MS degrees from Rutgers University in Bio-Resource and Civil/Environmental Engineering. Currently CEO for Natural Systems Utilities (NSU) and past Vice Chair for the Board of Directors for the U.S. Green Building Council, NJ Chapter. NSU designs, builds and operates onsite water treatment and reuse systems. With over 40 years of innovation and leadership in the industry NSU operates one of the largest bases of distributed treatment and direct water reuse systems in the US (400+ systems). NSU is now a part of Saur, a pure-play water and essential services provider with over employees and 20 million customers in over 140 countries. Partnered in Alliance Environmental, an environmental engineering and sustainability consulting firm, serving as COO before its merger with NSU in 2011. Previously worked for Applied Water Management Group specializing in water resource management and direct water reuse systems.Focus is on water reuse and complete integrated infrastructure approaches that combine water and energy, been published by Forbes and Rutgers University Press and serve as a Guest Lecturer on the subject at multiple universities across the Country.
