ABOUT ZEYNIN JUMA

I build the invisible infrastructure that makes complex systems work—and I lift people while doing it. Twenty years ago, I wrote the operating system for FLYHT\'s black box that streams aircraft data in real-time, potentially saving lives during emergencies. That experience—taking chaos and turning it into elegant, working systems—shaped everything that followed. Now I design enterprise-scale data architectures across energy, retail, and tech. I\'m the person who looks at fragmented systems, sees the data story no one else has mapped, and builds the bridges between OT devices on the field and analytics platforms in the cloud. I\'ve delivered IoT platforms that saved companies $100K+ through smarter data governance, designed the first secure cloud solution for sensitive HR data, and created architectural IoT patterns that crossed Purdue levels safely. But here\'s what drives me: making the complex understandable. Whether I\'m presenting to VPs or mentoring junior architects in my monthly teaching sessions, I translate technical concepts into clarity. I\'ve mentored women through Chic Geek\'s program, led all-girls robotics teams, presented to Toast Women in Tech my learnings to-date and now exclusively refer women for opportunities at my firm. In 2025, I was nominated for Canada\'s Top 25 Women in Tech—recognition that reflects not just technical excellence, but the commitment to creating space for others in this industry. My personality assessment calls me \"goal-oriented, cooperative, competitive, and intellectually curious.\" Translation: I love hard problems, I build strong teams, and I don\'t ship until you\'re happy.
