As a lead software generalist engineer, I have worked on a great diversity of projects. Each one with a diverse set of challenges. Currently I’m focusing more into building and developing an inhouse Linux distro for our embedded board. On top of that I’m leading a team of 5 engineers, delivering 3 major projects (including myself), and making sure tasks and projects are done in a timely manner- Created a batch msg system for our RabbitMQ integration using python- Architect and implemented the first internal standard way of communication between services using Typescript and Python- Setup the Linux OS image for our transmitters- Hardened the Linux OS images- Setup a VPN to communicate between our transmitters- Increased performance of the Linux OS images- Implemented the first Rust service for our transmitters- Architect a Configuration service- Built the Configuration service in Rust making the move from python- Moved the Linux OS to use Yocto as a build system- Created our own linux distro- Modified and remaped device tree in order to accommodate different pin configurations- Setup an Over the Air update system using Mender- Setup an Offline update system using Mender- Encrypted partitions and set up a key management system- Patched several security CVEs- Activated/deactivated several u-boot and kernel features.
