ABOUT ZESHAN QURESHI

My work sits at the intersection of clinical medicine, ethics, and technology. Alongside my clinical practice in the NHS, I have developed a portfolio career focused on improving healthcare systems—whether through education, innovation, or advocacy.🤖 Clinical Innovation & AI With a strong interest in the ethics and safety of emerging technologies, I work on the clinical validation of Artificial Intelligence. My role involves designing complex medical scenarios to test Large Language Models, ensuring they meet the nuance and safety standards required for clinical application. My work in MedTech has also been recognised with a £100k Innovate UK Biomedical Catalyst Award for the development of neonatal neurosensory mat. Medical Education & Publishing Passionate about democratising medical knowledge, I lead The Unofficial Guide to Medicine series: a collaborative network of over 500 authors, producing 15 textbooks with over copies distributed globally. The initiative was recognised by the BMA Medical Book Awards and the Independent Publisher’s Guild, for which I received the Young Independent Publisher of the Year award.Research, Advocacy & Media My academic work has been published in high-impact journals including The Lancet, The BMJ, and Archives of Disease in Childhood. I have contributed to 80+ media outputs—including appearances on BBC Newsnight, The Today Show, and ITV News—translating complex health policy for the public and advocating for better healthcare for all. I have given 150+ presentation to a cumulative of audience of 40k+. My TEDx talk on physician wellbeing highlighted the paradox of how healthcare systems make doctors sick. I am currently completing a PhD in the Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge.I would love to connect with others interested in building just, efficient healthcare systems.
