Travel extensively to meet with donors and potential donors in a specific assigned territory to request gifts and pledges for gifts to the annual, capital and endowment funds-Maintain telephone and/or written contact with donors and potential donors when travel is not needed or practical-Maintain records of all contacts with donors or potential donors in the Slate donor database-Work with the Associate Vice President for University Advancement to plan and set goals for each academic year and be responsible for reaching those goals-Conduct research and network to find new donors and to evaluate giving potential of donors and potential donors-Be present for and assist with all major events hosted by University Advancement-Inform potential contributors of special needs of institution, and encourages individuals, corporations, and foundations to establish or contribute to special funds through endowments, trusts, donations of gifts-in-kind, or bequests, conferring with attorneys to establish methods of transferring funds to benefit both donors and institution-Research public and private grant agencies and foundations to identify potential sources of funding for research, community service, or other projects.Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Vice President for University Advancement.
