As Sustainability Manager at the BBC, I support the decarbonisation of both Scripted and Unscripted productions within public service broadcasting.As a recognised industry leader in sustainable production and media transformation, with a proven track record of embedding environmental responsibility and social impact at the core of content creation and production operations.I support the implementation of the Network’s sustainability strategy for decarbonising television content - collaborating with producers, commissioners and industry stakeholders to reduce carbon emissions and future-proof productions. My work spans strategic frameworks, pioneering carbon budgeting and reduction initiatives, and driving industry-wide engagement. I advocate for sustainability not just as a requirement, but as a creative and commercial advantage. I am also a speaker on decarbonisation and a thought leader in media and sustainability.Prior to joining the BBC, I served as Sustainability Project Manager at ITV, where I led decarbonisation efforts for the continuing dramas (Emmerdale and Corrie). With a 15+ year background in TV production management, I bring a unique blend of production know how and sustainability leadership - helping producers embed sustainability as a driver of innovation and business success.Based in MediaCityUK and London.
