About Zdravko Vassilev

With over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, academia, and contract research organizations, I have successfully delivered RWE and pharmacoepidemiology projects for more than 16 different products across multiple therapeutic areas, including hematology, neurology, ophthalmology, infectious diseases, and cardiovascular diseases. I have extensive knowledge of observational and experimental study designs, current analytic methods, and health policy implications. I am passionate about advancing the science and practice of RWE and pharmacoepidemiology to improve patient outcomes and public health.As the Head of Epidemiology Strategy, Oncology RWE at Bayer Pharmaceuticals, I lead a team of epidemiologists who design and conduct real-world evidence (RWE) studies to support the development and commercialization of innovative oncology products. I have a master\'s degree in public health (MPH) and a medical degree (MD) from Emory University and the Medical University of Plovdiv, respectively.
