About Zaylen Check

Having worked in multiple client-focused roles before attending the University of Michigan, I bring a uniquely people-first perspective to my studies as a proud first generation college student. Studying Economics and Business Administration has given me precious insight into the social science behind everyday transactions, and I am always eager to learn more. I find myself especially drawn to consulting, strategy, sales, and any other areas of business that emphasize the \"people-sided\" aspects of the field. In the long term, I aspire to open a real estate brokerage to help close gaps I see in my community.    As Media Chair for the Multicultural Economics Society, I manage 10+ digital and physical marketing campaigns to promote panels and events, designing and distributing outreach materials to boost engagement. I also support long-term programming by contributing to event planning, company outreach, and member acquisition efforts.
