About Zarina Moreno

I’m a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Austin, TX, with over 9 years of experience supporting individuals through trauma, identity exploration, and deep healing. I specialize in working with first-generation Latinas and women of color navigating anxiety, boundaries, generational trauma, and the pressure to hold it all together. My therapy approach is relational, culturally affirming, and grounded in somatic, EMDR-informed, and decolonial practices. I center ancestral healing, anti-oppressive frameworks, and body-based wisdom to help clients reconnect with themselves and heal at the root.Through my private practice, Inner Mente Counseling, I offer individual and group therapy in English and Spanish, as well as clinical supervision for future LCSWs. My goal is to create spaces where our cultura, emotions, and stories are honored—not minimized.Outside of the therapy room, I create mental health content that challenges harmful narratives like “calladita te ves más bonita” and “lo que pasa en casa se queda en casa.” I also host Latinas Talkin’ Therapy, a podcast where I hold honest, healing-centered conversations about mental health, culture, and breaking cycles.I regularly lead workshops and community classes for Latina entrepreneurs, small business owners, and caregivers on topics like burnout, emotional sustainability, and nervous system care. I also collaborate with other Latina therapists to cohost wellness events and networking spaces rooted in visibility and collective healing. Currently welcoming new therapy clients, speaking opportunities, and community-centered collaborations.
