ABOUT ZARGHAAM RIZVI
Dr. Zarghaam Rizvi is an accomplished engineer and scientist with over a decade of experience in advanced numerical modeling, energy, and AI-enabled infrastructure monitoring. He holds a Ph.D. in Computational Engineering from Kiel University, Germany, where he pioneered coupled Lattice Element Method for Multiohysics and Boundary Element and Finite Element Methods (BEM-FEM) for large scale modelling and for seismic risk prognosis for natural and induced seismicity. Dr. Rizvi is the founder and CEO of GeoAnalysis Engineering, with operations in both Canada and Germany, and has led numerous industrial and academic projects in geomechanics, thermal-hydro-mechanical coupling, and subsurface monitoring. His recent research focuses on advanced numerical analysis for Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), particularly modeling soil-structure interactions and thermal field behavior under cyclic and long-term loading scenarios. He has developed high-fidelity digital twin platforms that integrate machine learning with lattice-element and finite-difference schemes to simulate thermal gradients and mechanical responses in SMR foundations, buried infrastructure, and near-field soils. Dr. Rizvi’s work bridges the gap between computational modeling and experimental validation, offering scalable, energy-resilient, and safety-focused solutions for next-generation nuclear and energy infrastructure.
