Within this role I am responsible for ensuring the payroll for Sainsbury’s and Argos are completed within the required timeframe. Across 5 payrolls there are over colleagues paid in the Oracle Fusion platform. Responsibilities• Manage a team of 6 Senior Payroll Administrators ensuring we remain motivated whilst working from home and in the office• Conduct formal 1-2-1’s, end of year reviews and return to work meetings.• Identify training requirements for my team and ensure that a sufficient action plan is put in place with realistic timescales• Ensure all system errors are identified across the multiple dummy runs that are processed on a weekly basis and acting as the first line in fixing this where possible. • Continue to ensure my legislation knowledge is up to date at all times.• Manage and maintain a number of balance sheets. Identify and investigate any discrepancies ensuring these are corrected on the following payroll run or via EYU’s if required.In 2019 Sainsburys payroll received the ‘Payroll Team of the Year’ award, I was invited to attend the event as I was integral in ensuring that the switch to Oracle Fusion in 2018 was embedded by our BAU team.Argos payroll made the switch to Oracle fusion in 2019, where I was asked to travel to Milton Keynes and assist in the switch over. In early 2020, Sainsburys inherited the Argos payroll which I now manage.I was placed on a talent programme within Sainsburys as I have been identified as an individual who has the ability to progress within the payroll profession.
