ABOUT ZARA DURRANT
I am the Founder and Managing Director of Defence Darts Ltd, leading a growing portfolio across community, events, and partnerships within Defence and sport.I founded the Defence Darts Community, an international tri-service and veteran network of over 1,400 members across the UK and overseas, delivering opportunities for connection, competition, and support through darts.I also created Operation Bullseye, a large-scale, multi-service event pairing serving personnel and veterans with professional players to raise funds and awareness for military mental health charities. The event brings together national sponsors, senior military stakeholders, and live audiences.One of my proudest achievements has been leading the work to have darts formally recognised as a sport across all three services in Defence. This resulted in the formation of the RAF, Army, and Royal Navy Darts Associations and continues to create opportunities for participation and growth across the services.Alongside this, I serve at Air Command (RAF HQ) within workforce requirements, bringing 18 years of Royal Air Force experience across logistics, operations, and strategic delivery in high-pressure environments.I am also developing the Defence Darts Foundation, a non-profit focused on supporting military mental health through sport, community, and long-term engagement.I lead multiple teams across events, community operations, and online platforms, and have built a scalable model that connects serving personnel, veterans, and industry through shared experiences.Known for a direct, high-energy approach, I focus on delivering impact, building meaningful partnerships, and creating opportunities that last beyond service life.Previously known as Zara Warhurst.
