About Brad Zapp

I help financial advisors bring diversified private venture capital to clients without the operational friction. I know that friction firsthand. I entered the advisory business in and built my practice through the dot-com bust and the 2008 financial crisis. During that “lost decade,” traditional diversification strategies failed when clients needed protection most. I searched for alternative investments but ran into roadblocks: investment minimums that were too high, no IRA eligibility, and accredited-only restrictions. I realized that if I wanted to protect my clients’ wealth, I couldn’t just work around the system—I needed to rebuild it. Conviction about fair access is in my DNA. I grew up watching my father build a community bank in Northern Kentucky from the ground up because he believed the small, local business owners there deserved a fair shake. He showed me that real opportunity shouldn’t be reserved for the privileged few. After selling my practice in 2015, I set out to build what I wished I’d had as an advisor: a disciplined, scalable way to access venture capital. My vision was to develop a proprietary research platform to replace venture capital’s human bias with analytical rigor, uncover world-class founders in overlooked markets, and deliver access through an SEC-registered fund designed to work inside advisory practices. That vision became Connetic Ventures and the Venture Capital Access Fund (VCAFX), a diversified portfolio spanning sectors, stages, geographies, and vintages. It’s the VC “easy button” I wish I’d had when I was an RIA. Today, I help advisors: → Access private venture capital deals across sectors, stages, geographies, and vintages → Reduce concentration risk by sourcing beyond crowded tech markets → Remove operational friction with a 1099 structure that replaces K-1s → Lower investment minimums, making venture access realistic for a broader base of clients → Implement efficiently, allocating across an entire book of business in days, not months If you’re looking for a simplified way to integrate diversified venture capital into client portfolios, DM me → let\'s talk- I share venture capital insights here on LinkedIn.
