I have been working on renewable energy integration, production cost modeling, economic dispatch, power systems analysis and power markets since 2008. I enjoy combining and utilizing mathematics and economics with power networks and power engineering. I am always excited to explore new concepts and work towards the solution of challenging problems that we encounter in modern electricity markets. I hold a Ph.D. and Master’s degree in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I have been part of numerous projects and published papers in journals and conferences on integration of distributed energy systems, windfarm optimization, integration of renewable energy and energy storage in power system, stochastically optimized economic dispatch with environmental considerations etc. I have worked as team-lead and project manager positions which involved design, construction and commissioning of power plants, energy storage equipment, distributed generation systems and electrical substations. Apart from electrical engineering, I also have intermediate knowledge of economics and finance. I have worked across multiple disciplines and applied mathematical, financial and economics concepts in power system process (with focus on deregulated electricity markets).I have extensive experience in renewable energy integration, power system planning and electricity markets. I am highly skilled in production cost modeling, grid interconnection of wind and solar, transmission planning and transmission congestion, energy storage modeling and security constrained economic dispatch algorithms

   Develop corporate strategy for energy storage in different markets based on policy, analytics and project development inputs.• Identifying energy storage opportunities in different ISOs and utilities through policy research, dispatch optimization and financial modeling.• Strategy, planning and resource deployment to meet Pivot’s Annual MW and MWhr OKRs and KPIs.• Developing asset optimization and operation strategies in different markets based on offtakes, asset life, OEM constraints.• Evaluate, rank and select multiple vendors and OEMs for hardware and software solutions to implement DC Coupled and AC Coupled solar and storage solutions for Pivot\'s projects across USA.• Develop softwares and tools using MATLAB for optimal dispatch of solar and storage projects to maximize P&L, forecast revenue and IRR for Pivot’s hybrid projects.• Assisting M&A team for project acquisitions with technical review, design validation and evaluating NPV and IRR for acquisition targets and integrating Pivot\'s operational strategy for acquired assets.• Optimal sizing of solar and storage to maximize NPV and IRR for Pivot\'s hybrid projects.• Using Mixed Integer Linear Programming, developing tools and algorithms to optimize the DC to AC ratio, energy storage size, solar MW and siting locations for projects in different ISOs and utility regions.• Establishing procurement and development strategies for energy storage and hybrid projects.• Economic lifecycle modeling of different Energy Storage technologies in various power markets to select the best configuration and optimal build and dispatch strategy.• Develop a business case and strategic plan for establishing battery storage as a standalone asset class. • Act as the key point of contact and subject matter expert on battery storage for various internal teams.
