Data Analytics Consultant | Sports Analyst | Tableau | Alteryx | PowerBI | SQL |#DataFamRisingStars 2024A Data Consultant with 12+ years of multi-industry experience. My current work at The Information Lab spans a range of data related responsibilities, including training, enablement and consulting. I support our work internally with The Data School and externally with a variety of clients, across a range of industries and technologies including Tableau, PowerBI and Alteryx.Prior to my role at TIL, I have delivered in various sports analytics roles. My career started with voluntary and part-time roles in Netball and Canoe Slalom, before joining the Lawn Tennis Association as a Performance Analyst in 2015. At the LTA, I provided video and data analytics to tennis coaches and players across a six year period. During this time I supported male and female players in singles and doubles across x27 Grand Slams, x5 World Tour Finals and x1 Olympic Games. Supported players went on to win x18 titles across the WTA and ATP tour, including a Masters title and a Grand Slam Championship title, as well as becoming World Number 1.Beyond the delivery of round-by-round tournament support, I also supported the British Tennis pathway by introducing various technologies to enhance LTA support to young players on multiple National Camps, including the use of high-speed cameras, video packages and producing multi-disciplinary player reports. I developed our data capture methodologies, evolving point-by-point data capture to shot-by-shot, as well as a collaboration with Dartfish to integrate video analysis tagging with interactive PowerBI reports. This was a bespoke development that is now a leading product offering for Dartfish across multiple sports.In my role as Head of Analysis & Data Solutions, I collaborated with other Senior Management to curate a range of analytics services for numerous sports teams. Projects included bespoke data capture, projects to answer performance questions, team discovery and auditing, and creating strategies to build and develop analytics teams from ground up. We worked alongside teams/NGBs in tennis, padel, football and more.My work at London Pulse involves leading staff and students in our delivery of PA and how we utilise data across our multi-disciplinary team to inform decision making, first in our quest to win the NSL Championship, and now to defend our title.I have a passion for technology, sports, leadership and strategy. I love my work when it is meaningful and adds genuine value to the team I am working alongside!
