Lead the advancement of policy issues affecting people who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing,Late-Deafened, DeafBlind, and DeafDisabled. Interface with government agencies, Congress,coalitions, media, and businesses with heavy emphasis on working with the FederalCommunications Commission on captioning, relay, emergency communications, and otherissues. Conduct research and analysis of specific legal and policy questions. Draft public filings,memoranda, opinions, and position statements as necessary. Coordinate and collaborate withother organizations and individuals to advance Deaf Equality’s interests in support of its mission,vision, values, and strategic goals. Represent Deaf Equality at conferences, on advisorycommittees and panels, and through presentations.
