Hi LinkedIn! As a leader in higher education, I have focused my experience on leading teams, programs, and operations. Here’s a bit more about my background: I was raised in Florida, and after earning my bachelor\'s and master\'s degrees, I moved to New York City. In progressive leadership roles, I’ve directed operations, training & development, and budgets while managing diverse teams. During the pandemic, I wanted to understand why so many colleagues were leaving the industry, so I pursued a doctorate in educational leadership, focusing on the retention of Latinas in executive-level positions. I have had the opportunity to present at conferences information related to my doctoral research on the recruitment and retention of Latinas to senior executive roles at predominantly white institutions. I have also been able to continue to explore topics and findings to write articles around \"Professional Neglect\" and why Latinas are the secret sauce every organization needs. I have also spent time on several podcasts to talk about what allies can do and how to support Latinas in your organizations. My data-driven approach to decision-making has helped me build prudent strategies and lead programs with strong buy-in and support from senior leaders. I’ve excelled in cross-functional collaboration, bringing teams together to create a seamless client experience. I spearheaded a predictive analytics effort and deployed new technologies that directly impacted KPIs, including staff and client retention. I have also taken ownership of incident and crisis management to steer the organization through difficult times, including the pandemic. I remain passionate about enhancing transparency, communication, engagement, and professional development to improve capabilities and staff morale.
