ABOUT ZAHRA TAHSILI

I am an Associate Lawyer at McQuarrie, and I have recently been called to the British Columbia Bar, Canada, on July 7, 2023. I completed my LL.M. in Common Law at Peter A. Allard School of Law, the University of British Columbia. With membership in the Iranian Bar Association, I have practiced law in Iran and U.A.E. for approximately 16 years. In addition to my knowledge of Canadian law, I possess expertise in Iranian and U.A.E. law, and I have a general understanding of U.S. law. Throughout my career, I have provided legal counsel to both international and local corporations of varying sizes, specializing in corporate and commercial law as well as contract law. Over the course of six years, I served as an in-house lawyer for leading technological startups in Iran. I am well-versed in organizing and participating in business development initiatives, including regular speaking engagements at Iran-related seminars in the U.A.E. Furthermore, I am a published author, having co-authored a book titled \"Iran and International Sanctions\" in 2013.
