ABOUT ZAHEER RIAZ

Started off as a Software Engineer and my passion of driving business success through digital transformation has helped me to progress into an experienced Technology Director with experience in the full software development life cycle, network topologies, business processes and activities. I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with domestic and international clients and onshore/offshore development teams and I am well versed using agile and waterfall methodologies. In my current role I have been responsible for all aspects of IT for the business (across all the entities) which included partner relationship and contracts negotiation, support and review. This has been thoroughly enjoyable and the feeling of helping the business in this area and save millions is extremely satisfying.I am experienced in leading IT Development and Infrastructure teams and providing guidance/support where needed and I am not afraid to get my hands. Leading projects from inception through to delivery has meant my skillset spans all disciplines thus being well versed in requirements gathering, development, testing, UAT and so on. Working with a wide range of stakeholders from end-users through to clients, project managers, development leads and executive boards has helped me develop my communication and reporting skills with the audience in mind; and their perspective of the information being provided to them.Promoting within the organisation has been my moto since fulfilling a leadership role. This has meant I have had the satisfaction of mentoring team members and watching them grow and flourish in their careers. However I cannot take all the credit, sometimes \'opening the door\' for someone is all that is needed!
