I believe in using data to help people. From solving problems in health care to criminal justice to education, I\'ve witnessed how data can be harnessed for real world impact.At Airspace, I\'m using data and AI tools to help redefine how the world\'s most critical packages get delivered - think human organs/tissues, repair parts for grounded aircraft, and highly sensitive components like semiconductors.As a data consultant, I worked with multiple health care companies to improve patient care quality, employee job satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Initiatives I designed have improved measurable patient outcomes, reduced employee turnover, increased reported job satisfaction, and reduced payroll errors.Previously at Recidiviz, a nonprofit started at Google, I used quantitative research (e.g. reduced-form causal inference) to identify the policies and practices that move the needle for reentry success among justice-involved individuals. My work informed the strategic direction of the organization and contributed to tools that have meaningfully reduced life years spent in the justice system.During my graduate studies at UCSD, I designed, conducted, and analyzed randomized controlled trials to estimate the causal effects of educational tools such as a \"video textbook\" fit for the modern classroom. I also examined how consumers\' nutrition decisions change following the arrival and removal of beverage taxes and after receiving stimulus payments. As an instructor, I designed and led an undergraduate course covering social data analytics.When away from my computer, I\'m probably swimming, biking, running, or otherwise savoring the outdoor delights that San Diego has to offer. In 2024, I attended the Paris Paralympics as a guide for two-time Paralympian Kyle Coon in triathlon.You made it to the bottom - nice!
